To ensure long-term sustained success, Mazda Motor Corp. is thinking about different options for its U.S. plant operated jointly with partner Ford Motor Co. Mazda CFO, Kiyoshi Ozaki has recently told the press that the company plans to make an official statement on the new plans for the plant in Flat Rock, Michigan sometime this summer.

Mazda is embarking on an independent venture to develop an electric vehicle (EV). And it won't take long for the car to hit the streets. The Japanese automaker plans to start leasing the new vehicle in Japan, starting next spring.
