New Mazda Concept Hints at Future Sedan Styling

At the end of the month at the Tokyo Motor Show, and later at the Detroit North American International Auto Show, an all-new midsize sedan concept from Mazda will be on display. It's called the Takeri, and it's got the soul of a MAZDA6 with a fierce grill, a sleekly sculpted body, and a domed hood over, what we can only guess, is a powerful engine.

When it debuts, the first thing you'll notice is that it's similar to some very popular luxury sedans currently on the market. That said, it is a very nice looking car that embodies the fierceness of the current model MAZDA6 .

It's not a MAZDA6, however. The Mazda lineup is, in fact, gaining a new midsize sedan. And it seems that the Takeri concept is the direction the automaker is headed with their sedan lineup. We won't have much else to share about this exciting new ride as of yet, but we're sure that after it's debut in Tokyo, the internet will be abuzz with all of the latest specs and performance information.

Twin City Mazda promises to keep you informed of the latest on this and other news from Mazda, as soon as it's available. Stay tuned with us. In the meantime, we invite you to explore our new Mazda  and used-car lineups, and if anything catches your eye, stop in and see us at 3076 Airport Highway Alcoa, TN 37701. We'll be happy to discuss model specs and set you up for a test drive.
